Christopher Griffith -
Fashion Photographer, Advertising Photographer, Portrait Photographer -
U.S. Rep - Art Department -
I came across Christopher’s work a few years ago when Livebooks did an interview / short documentary on him in the “photographers in focus” series. I fell in love with his fashion, architectural, and portrait photography. His work has an Irving Penn, Albert Watson, Richard Avadon quality to it.

Aorta is the cooperative trademark of photography duo Marco Grizelj and Kristian Kr?n. Or at least that is what their website tells me. Either way, their Conceptual Portrait and Advertising work is amazing. Also, if you have a chance, check out the stop motion piece - crossartig by june louis on the Bransch welcome page. Good Stuff!

More art than Advertising - really great commercial work that has a nice grit and freedom to it.
At one point I saw an interview with Cass that I was going to post here as well, BUT, I couldn’t find it. I did however find this amazing video / short / lookbook for Sophomore NY for that was directed by Cass. Just phenomenal and funny stuff…see below
Amazing interview with Photographers Rep Julian Richards. I’m loving the honesty here, only on the east coast do you hear honesty like this…good stuff.
I love the bit about making every portfolio that goes out personalized to that particular client. I have been on the fence about printing one or two, three… portfolio’s that fit a large genre (ie. lifestyle, fashion…) or getting an ipad to go on meetings with advertising, editorial and catalog clients. Unless the funds are there to print multiple portfolio’s, I am beginning to think that the ipad might be a great idea. You can tailor you presentation directly to them and their needs. I think this is huge, it’s not about you or me, it really is about them.
If you are able to get into a meeting with a art director or art buyer, or better yet, have them, ask you to show work. Then for Gods sake, fill your photography presentation with work that will suite their needs.
Also, check out this amazing, very long, but amazing interview with Ramit Sethi on Chase Jarvis Live. Loads of good ideas about interviewing and meeting with clients.
